Our systems enable secure remote door and barrier opening. They are distinguished by high security and the prevention of unauthorized remote control duplication.

A secure transmission must be encrypted in such a way that it is impossible to “capture” the code and replay it later. In older systems, malicious actors could intercept the code transmitted by a remote control when, for example, opening a garage door and later replay it in the owner’s absence. Therefore, communication must be designed so that the code continuously changes, ensuring each command has a unique bit combination. This is precisely what our RXR4 receiver module and remote controls provide.

The security algorithm is the result of years of development by a team of programmers and cryptanalysts at Microchip. A detailed description of the security protocol can be found online at www.microchip.com. Microchip holds the patent for KEELOQ rolling (hopping) codes. At Harpoon elektronika d.o.o., we have acquired a license to use the KEELOQ algorithm in our products.

Each manufacturer, supplier, or partner has a unique production key, making remote controls incompatible between different providers. If you need a new remote control for your system, you can only obtain it from the same supplier.

Our system consists of the RXR4 receiver module and the TX433R2 secure remote control.

RECEIVER MODULE RXR4

• Security codes are dynamic, ensuring that no transmitted code is ever identical to a previous one.
• Remote control duplication or counterfeiting is impossible, guaranteeing that only the authorized number of remotes is in use for your parking lot.
• User-configurable output settings allow for seamless integration with all door and barrier systems, as well as any other device of your choice.
• The receiver module can store over 500 remote controls in its memory.
• Receiver modules can be connected into a network.
• A personal computer can be connected to the network to log all events.
• The RXR4 receiver module can be installed in existing remote-controlled access systems, enhancing security for homes, offices, warehouses, garages, and parking areas. If you already have remote-controlled doors and worry about unauthorized entry, the RXR4 receiver will provide peace of mind.
• For DIY builders, the RXR4 receiver module supports connections to photocells, limit switches, motorized drives, and lights, allowing for the operation of custom-built sliding or garage doors without additional automation, as all these features are already integrated. REMOTE CONTROL TX433

Secure transmission is encrypted to prevent code interception and replay attacks. Older systems were vulnerable to hackers who could capture the transmission signal of a remote and reuse it later to gain unauthorized access. To prevent this, our system ensures that each press of the button generates a new code.

Each remote control is assigned a unique code at the time of manufacture, consisting of: 

• Remote control serial number
• Object code
• Manufacturer/supplier key
• Rolling code
• Synchronization counter
  

ADVANTAGES

• ✅ Prevention of duplication and counterfeiting – If two remotes are accidentally produced with the same code, the use of one will immediately render the other invalid, preventing unauthorized access.
• ✅ Unique remote control codes – Even if different manufacturers use the same chip in their remotes, each supplier or manufacturer has their own “production key,” ensuring that remote controls remain incompatible across different systems.
• ✅ Multiple security layers – Even if two manufacturers were to choose the same production key by chance, access would still be restricted due to unique serial numbers and synchronization states, making unauthorized duplication impossible.
• ✅ Remote controls are unique to each system – They cannot be used across different locations unless specifically programmed for that purpose.
• ✅ Reliable performance –
  • Operates on 433.92 MHz and complies with EN300 220+3 low-power transmission standards.
  • Battery life exceeds two years under normal use. When the battery is low, the LED indicator on the remote will blink slowly when a button is pressed, signaling the need for replacement.
  • Standard range is 20 meters, with a maximum range of up to 150 meters in line of sight, depending on antenna positioning, terrain, obstacles, and RF interference.
  • Available in 2, 3, or 6-button configurations. A 2-button remote can actually control three channels by using button combinations. A 4-button remote can manage 15 outputs using multi-button presses.
